Paying for therapy  offers the benefit of maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, as no third-party entities like Medicare, insurance companies, or employers will have access to your records. This ensures that your therapeutic journey remains private, free from potential future implications tied to diagnoses or shared data. For individuals who prioritise their privacy, particularly around sensitive mental health issues, out-of-pocket payments can be a valuable investment in preserving control over personal information.

Yes, I can work with NDIS self-managed plan clients. We can discuss this in our initial consultation.
I offer short term- 6 sessions 50 minutes, while long-term 50 minutes counselling sessions can continue beyond 12 sessions. Some people come to therapy to get to know themselves better, others come for change and healing from their problems and life challenges. There is no quick fix in therapy, but evidence says it does help change your life for a new improved healthier future.
I understand the relationship between you and your therapist is paramount. In the first session you may feel nervous or shy, this is normal. The first session is used to get to know me as your therapist and to see if it is a right fit for you. You can expect a welcoming non-judgemental environment where the focus will be on understanding your concerns and questions exploring what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss confidentiality, therapeutic boundaries, goal setting, fee structure and cancellations, with an opportunity for you to ask questions and clarify how the counselling process works.
Before your appointment ensure your WIFI connection and battery is charged, and you are in a private, comfortable space set up with some tissues and your favourite beverage.
Due to the difficulty in filling at short notice, sessions cancelled with less than 24 hour’s notice may attract a cancellation fee of $60.
